Connect LaterPing to your AI assistant
LaterPing works with AI assistants that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and custom connectors. Once connected, you can ask your assistant to set up a follow-up, check who hasn't replied, or close one out — using your own LaterPing account.
Connector URL
https://laterping.com/mcp
How to connect
- In your assistant's settings, add a custom connector (sometimes called a remote MCP server) and paste the URL above.
- Your assistant opens a LaterPing page. Sign in if asked, check the request, and choose Authorize.
- That's it. Try: "Follow up with jane@example.com about invoice #142 on Monday at 9."
Where the setting lives differs between assistants and changes over time, so check your assistant's own help pages for "custom connector" or "MCP".
What your assistant can do
- create_followup
- Prepares a follow-up and shows you a preview. Nothing is sent at this step. Only after you confirm does the assistant create it, using a one-time code that expires after 15 minutes and only works for exactly what you previewed.
- list_followups
- Lists your follow-ups — active, awaiting your review, completed, cancelled or archived.
- get_followup_status
- Shows where one follow-up stands: how many emails have gone out, the latest reply and when the next follow-up is due.
- mark_resolved
- Marks a follow-up as done so no more follow-ups go out. The assistant is asked to check with you first.
- list_templates
- Lists your saved message templates.
Limits and safety
- Your plan applies as it does in the app: free accounts can have up to 3 active follow-ups.
- Follow-ups are emailed only, with the same spacing and unsubscribe rules as follow-ups you create in the app.
- Your assistant only sees your own follow-ups and templates.
- Your email address must be verified before follow-ups can be created.
- Requests are rate-limited per account, and each action is logged on your account.
Disconnecting
Go to Settings → Connected AI assistants and choose Disconnect. The assistant loses access straight away. Access also expires if it isn't refreshed.
